How to install kindbased

Follow these simple steps to get started with your new sink filter.
STEP 1

Remove your current aerator

Look at the tip of your faucet. The small piece at the end is usually the aerator. Twist it off by hand. If it is tight, use the included key to help loosen it.
STEP 2

Choose the best fitting adapter

Try the included adapters until you find one that threads on smoothly. It should feel secure without forcing it.
STEP 3

Attach the filter head

Screw the filter head onto the adapter. Tighten by hand until snug. Try not to overtighten.
STEP 4

Run water and check for leaks

Turn on the water and let it run for 20 to 30 seconds. Check that the connection is secure and there is no dripping at the threads.

Quick troubleshooting

You likely need a different adapter. Try another one that matches your faucet threads more closely. You get 6 different adapters in our starter bundle.

Remove the filter head and adapter, then reattach and hand-tighten. Make sure the adapter is seated straight and not cross-threaded.

Make sure the filter head is attached tightly and the filter is seated properly. If the filter has been used for a while, it may be time to replace it. Replacement timing depends on your water and usage.

Replacement timing depends on your home water and how often you use the sink. If the flow drops or the rinse experience changes, replace the filter. We recommend replacing every 4-6 weeks.
